I have just exchanged contracts on a three bedroom unit and neet to interview local property managers to find the “BEST” manager local to the unit.
I am planning to visit the local agents and ask questions then analyse the results and make a choice on teh results of the interviews and information gathered.
Having not done this before, I need to know what questions you ask a potential property manager so I can make a decision that hopefully manages my property best.

I know that I can sack them if they dont perform, but what are the criteria that I should be measuring them against.

    Thanks

    Malcolm

Do you know anyone that owns investment property in the same area? Who do they use? INstead of interviewing property managers, you may try interviewing property owners.

    Thanks Byronet,
I do not know anyone renting in the area and I have spoken to a couple of property owners, but they have not had dealings with the agents in the area except for purchase time.
    Regards

So who manages their properties is my question?

If you have bought already can I ask what the suburb you are talking about.

    Hi Malcolm,

You can post the locality of the property now that the deal has been done – there may be others here that have property in the local area too.

    Hi Malcolm

In order to find a good property manager you may find the report below useful.

BY the way, with the internet nowadays, you don’t necessarily need a property manager who is just around the corner from your property.
