    Hi,

I have been lurking for a few weeks and reading through a lot of what is posted here but now have a question.

Family member in defacto relationship. Relationship has broken up.

In the middle of reno. House worth around the $300 000 mark – Canberra suburb.

    $150 000 left on loan.

So, family member, to buy out partner will need about $70 000.

I am thinking of heloing out but am unsure as to how to secure the money I woiuld be lending.

I am also thinking of buying the property outright but the family member is negative to that view.

Family member earns $40 000 p/a and a check of bank websites suggests that is not enough to refinance for a total of about $220 000

    Any advice?

    Regards

    Graham

Find another lender and get a new broker.

    Should be an easy deal.

Website calculators are very conservative. There are also lenders out there that will lend you a lot more.

Please go to a good broker.
