Does anyone out there know all the pros and cons involved in Interest Only Loans??? It has come to my attention recently and is an option me and my investment partner want to investigate. All this learning and investing is very exciting by the way!!![pleased]

Hi and welcome,
If you click on SEARCH function (left hand side of screen) and type in INTEREST ONLY and then select SUBJECT ONLY you will get at least 3 pages of old threads with this very same title, and the very old worn out debate between IO vs P&I.

Hi Possie,
For a quick skim of information look at
https://www.propertyinvesting.com/forum/topic/14446.html?SearchTerms=interest,only,loans
But as Jo said try the search topic as this comes up often.
BTW – I am an interest only advocate.

Hi Possie,
That thread that Derek posted went through a lot of the information you seek only a few days ago. I cannot highly recommend interest only loans enough.
The only time I would consider principal and interest loans is if the borrower was not able to control themselves with cash.
In any case, don’t waste your money on a Line Of Credit either. They are of no real benefit to property investors.
