One of my friends is looking into an investment in Wellington and she recommended it to me as a “good opportunity”.
It’s a five-star hotel—-so it’s commercial property. Lease-back for 3 years with 8% net return. Off-the-plan and the hotel will be completed at the end of next year. Unit price NZ$210K, furniture NZ$22000 so total price is $232K.
My question is: anyone here has knowledge of commercial properties like this? what are the pros and cons of investing in hotel units? what are the potential risks? what factors should i look out?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
