I am about to purchase a block with a friend who hasnt bought property before(I have recieved my first home owner grant already). Would he still be eligible for the grant even though we are going to be joint owners? Also, if he is eligable for the grant, I’m aware the grant is $7000 for existing homes and $14000 to build a new home, what if you plan to subdivide the block and build a new home even though there is an existing house on the block?

    Regards

    Aaron

If one of the owners has had it before then he will miss out. If he resides in it he misses out forever.

    FHOG is $7000
