Hi new to this site and I very impressed with what I have read so far. Seems to be a lot of very helpful people out there. I hope someone can shed some light for me. My wife and I bought a property in Croydon North about 6 years ago, the house is 30+ years old. we owe around $200k on the house and the property is worth around $270-280k. what we are contemplating is pulling down this house and building three townhouses. The land is well and truley large enough and there is no problem with access. We have an easement that runs along the back fence. There are other units and townhouse going up around our area.
What we need to know is the process to follow of making this happen from dealing with the council, planing, building etc… Any advice would be appreciated as we know this has the potential to be a good little earner. Thanks for reading my dribble.

Hi, first of all welcome to the forums isyden. I don’t know much about developing a property, but with what I do know, you wil need to get council approval AND an idea of what they require in regards to an easement. I know that they require acces to it and are basically allowed ti rip up any garden etc on their way to it.

There is a new forum section that has just started here regarding property development. Moderated by an actual proprty developer. He would be the one to talk to.

    Cheers and good luck
