    I will be over to the land of the Long White Cloud soon for a few days. In the past I always have travel insurance, the main reason is to cover myself in case I have an accident or sudden illness and need to go to hospital. I am thinking not to buy travel insurance this time, does the NZ public health cover aussies, i.e. can I use my Medicare card to see a GP ?

    I don’t know if there’s any medical agreement between Australia and NZ or not. You could probably find out from a travel agent.
