    I am new to the property investing game and I hope to acquire my first property by the end of september. I have just finished reading Steve Mcknights book and found it extremely interesting. But my question is, in his book (0 to 130…) he refers to residential properties quite a lot, I am interested in buying into the commercial market and I want to know if what Steve tells of in his book can be put into practice in the Commercial market and if so are there any for and againsts in starting to invest here straight away. Any advice is much appreciated.

    Banks usually only lend 50 to 60% on commercial
    The returns are usually higher from comm
    The vacancies are usually longer in comm

    I would start with residential
    I have all three, res, comm and rural, and res has always been the best.

    Hi,

    Commerical property has worked well for me – and how I talk about it in the book is how it is for me in real life.

    One quick tip – in commercial the quality of the tenant is even more important. Businesses can start and fail in the blink of an eye, so be sure to do a thorough due diligence over the purchase prior to signing.

    I think Wright Books published a book about commerical property last year. That may be a useful resource..??..
