Bit scarey that one has to buy a new apartment (in that market) to not lose value!!

maybe the older ones represented a truer value? or its people like us doing the buying? hehehe
not me!Or maybe the other ones were over priced? back to reality?

land appreciates, buildings depreciate. Strata fees, blech.
i think stick with houses + land.
they’ll be the ‘gold’ of the futureYes Mini, that does seem to be a fundamental of RE. One does find a niche though, and units are *generally* cheaper than houses, and maintenance gets fixed by the whole body corporate. They fix window frames, doors, (all outside stuff, of course), water problems, the roof, etc. I always freak out at the thought of being *entirely* reponsible for maintenance on an IP. Body corps feels like it lessens the liability for me.
One of my BC’s has 100k in their funds!! AND all the apartments get painted – the whole outside- every few years! It’s the most amazing deal I’ve seen!
