My past and future purchase interest lies in new properties. For those I have purchased, I have added additional features over and above the proposed fit-out or altered lay-out and features accordingly.

Things like home audio systems, automated lighting & security systems, fixed gas BBQ’s, double showers, metallic finish tiling, floor-to-wall doors, addititonal internet (broadband) & phone connections, reverse cycle airconditioning etc.For finishes – gloss laminate finishes, stone/corian benchtops etc.

Whilst some of these now are pretty standard, I would be interested to know what other ‘wow’ features people are putting into their properties to make them stand out amongst the crowd.

I dont put any WOW features in my properties. I just get median rent and provide median properties.

These WOW features only depreciate and need to be replaced in the future and the value in properties is the land.

Shadow line cornicing is cheap and gives a modern finish. Polished concrete is big. Checkout commercial window frames and of course low voltage lighting. And for what it costs (about $300), chuck in a 3 phase power board.
