Gotta say the Indians did not play in the spirit of the game. They were very obviously trying to slow down the game and hope the rain would become before the 25 overs. The ‘injury’ to Yuvraj was a joke especially when you saw him running later.

As soon as the 25 overs were over, the game sped up dramatically.

Go Aussies – World champs in ODI and the test arena. There is no equal.

It was Steve dream to win there and now he given his dream to Ricky.

    ICC Test Championship Table
    [ as at 20th January 2004 ]

    Team Rating
    1 Australia 125
    2 South Africa 113
    3 Pakistan 102
    4 England 101
    5 India 100
    6 New Zealand 100
    7 Sri Lanka 96
    8 West Indies 82
    9 Zimbabwe 56
    10 Bangladesh 0

    ICC One-Day International Championship Table
    [ as at 22nd January 2004 ]

    Team Rating
    1 Australia 135
    2 South Africa 118
    3 Pakistan 107
    4 Sri Lanka 107
    5 India 106
    6 England 106
    7 New Zealand 102
    8 West Indies 101
    9 Zimbabwe 67
    10 Kenya 28
    11 Bangladesh 0

I would have thought India would have been higher in the 1 dayers, especially after the World Cup, but obviously that’s only one part of how the ratings are calculated.

    Hi Guys

Talking of slowing the game down, I can remember an Australian, bowling underarm so the last ball couldn’t be hit for six to win the game.

Needless to say the rules were changed so it wouldn’t happen again.

    Regards

A week ago the media were talking about dropping Brett Lee from the team.

    Now he is a “hero”.

    Funny how things change.

Yeah, but Brett is only a hero as a batsman.

I’ve always liked him, and hope that he does pick up his bowling. since his injury he’s been out of form.

    Cheers
    Mel
