Does anyone have any investment properties in Mt Isa? Is the risk of floods a major set back for investment in this mining town?
Is the city growing or pretty much stagnant? I know it is pretty much solely reliant on mining operations but I was wondering if anyone knew the economic outlook for Mt Isa in 2004 and beyond?

    Cheers ;)

    Hi Thayer

Go to google.com.au, type in mount isa, add different search terms such as economy and population.

    See what comes back

    Cheers

Thayer. message me next week and i can have some info for you. off the top off my head i would say stay away. my mate sold his house there recently and no capital gain in 6 or something years. he has now bought properties in Townsville getting growth and +CF. can ask him when he gets back from the mines though and forward you more info, just message me next week and ill ask him your questions. If possible (but difficult) you should talk to someone who is currently in the industries and know the future plans for the mines there. hope i made sense
