Getting my certificates of currency
insurance organised today as settlement is getting close on 2 properties ive purchased to find out that my insurance company will no longer insure fibre houses. fortunetly others will but got a bit of a scare for a while thinking **** i hope all ins companies havent taken on that policy or i would be up **** creek.[xx(][8] I use a large ins company (RAC), they must have had a lot of claims for damaged fibro rentals , luckily my bank has a ins company affiliated with them that will insure.
I bet theres a lot of investers sitting on fibro houses [] Id be interested to know if anyone else has had this problem ?
It could be asbestas, but im sure it could be sumthing else too. But either way, when you insure, do it straight after signing the contract, if the insurance company wont insure it, then go back while you have the cooling off period and cancel.
