Lately there has been an increase in posts about it can’t be done, why it won’t work, etc. I thought it might be a good idea to start a motivational quotes thread to keep our spirits high.
Here’s a few off the top of my head.
quote:
Yoda quotes
You do or do not, there is no try
quote:
If you think you can, you will.
If you think you can’t, you won’t In the end, the choice is yours
Rudyard Kipling, Nobel Prize winning author said :
‘If you do not get what you want it is a
sign that you did not seriously want it.’
and Eric Hoffer said :
‘It seems that intense desire
creates not only its opportunities but it’s own talents.’
The Lumberjack Story
An experienced lumberjack walked past one of the new recruits. The new recruit viciously chopped away at the large tree but only managed to bruise the bark. Seeing the hard work and wasted effort, the experienced lumberjack said, “Hey, why don’t you sharpen your ax? It will make you much more efficient.”
The new recruit answered, “No. I can’t take the time to sharpen my ax. I’m busy trying to cut down this tree.”
Many people suffer from the “dull ax” syndrome. They set goals, work hard, but never reach the success they desire. Why? Because they never took the time to sharpen their “ax” by learning new, effective skills. These people waste effort, waste resources, and waste their careers. If only they would take a little time away from their frenzied futility to learn the skills that would serve them for a lifetime.
Success is not a secret. It is a choice that is made over and over again. Success is not something that can be denied to you. It is something that you can always choose to accept.
How do you accept success? You accept success by making the effort instead of making excuses. You accept success by taking responsibility instead of counting on someone else to do it for you. You accept success by being truthful with others and, just as importantly, with yourself.
You accept success when things get tough, by being positive and innovative instead of becoming despondent. You accept success by being who you are and by contributing what you can, rather than pretending to be someone else.
Every day you can choose either to accept success or to just let it pass you by. With each thought, each word, each action, choose to accept success.

camviv… I have worked in situations like like…”we havent got time to fix the process, so we will keep runing around with our heads cut off trying to fight all the little problems, with trying to fix the real “core” problem.[]

What ever you think about yourself you are absolutely right! (Similar to a quote already listed)
Give and you shall receive!
The list goes on and on but just a few to work on that I know one very successful person I know uses for himself. He is a best selling author on many books and travels the world filling halls with his talks. I attended some of his talks and once a hall was filled with about 2,000 to see him, I asked him if he was nervous. He said no he is excited. He told me after the talk that evening, that most people get the feeling of excitement mixed up with nerves. He would know his field of expertise is Psychology.
