For myself when I am using the computer at school I will be listening to my music CDs. I have quite a wide selection of music to listen to. At the moment I have just purchased a triple CD of Country and Western music so I am listening to it.
All the music was recorded in the 1960s.
At home I will have the radio on and be listening to Radio Pacific which is all talk back. You get some way out callers talking about real wacko things. Also some of the announcers can get really wound up as well.
Now your turn – what do you other forumites listen to. I’ll list some of my other music when I get down to school.
Tonight I am listening to Best of the Barron Knights. A CD I picked up from the Warehouse for $5. Some good old humourous stuff from the 60s
Hell Rod no wonder you had a quick sojourn to NZ- just to get away from the kids.
Arty what about putting a CD in c drive or is it d drive and getting a pair of headphones. Think about the bliss of hearing no phones, no conversations, no kids running around etc, etc.
Eminem, a little Nickleback, early Iron Maiden if the mood takes me..Queen is an old fave…oh oh!! Meatloaf!! A little bat outta hell is gooooooood for the soul [}]
Then when Im REALLY in the mood..a little Abba mellows me out []

You get time to do this at work?? Wow…
If I did, I’d be listening to screaming, telephones, doors slamming, engines revving, sirens, typing, swearing, and someone asking “who wants a coffee?”
Currently having Meatloaf Bat out of Hell playing in the CD player here at work. But also have Savage Garden, Best of 2003 II, and Gershwin in the drawer. Just took the Bond girls back to the flat (not in the actual sense unfortunately![}])
sorry arty…thats YOU yelling out to turn down the bl00dy music!!
And here I was thinking that strange little old man with the weird eye and bad habits was someone I didnt know!! Hey neighbor [] Wanna listen to some Led Zepplin *turning up the stereo*

Ah yes, Meatloaf, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, and Led Zep they are all part of my CD library. I can also add Donovan, The Barron Knights, Blood Sweat and Tears and The Beatles No1 to the list as well. Don’t they age me. Still extremely hard to beat the 60s and 70s music.
Mind you I don’t listen to them all at once but on a fairly frequent basis.
I listen to all sorts of music but my faves are guitar oriented stuff.
I love 70’s bands like Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, AC/DC (Bon Scott days) and ofcourse Hendrix.
Then there is blues music. Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Lee Hooker, Roy Buchannan and The John Butler Trio.
I also love female vocalists like Fiona Apple, Ani Difranco, Tori Amos, Macy Gray and the Waifs.
Currently though i mostly listen to Alternative Rock/Pop bands like The White Stripes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Cruel Sea, The Pixies, Pearl Jam, Tool, The Eels, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and many, many more.
I could go on forever, but basically it’s important to listen to a variety of different styles so that no matter what your mood is there will be something that will hit the spot.
Oh yeah, Pinky i used to listen to early Iron Maiden in the 80’s too. Can you believe they are still releasing new stuff?
I’ve just had a look at my library and can add The Rolling Stones, The Cream, Jimi Hendrix, The Royal Guardsmen(of Snoopy fame), The Hollies and The Small Faces.
My favourite drumming solo is part of In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly. Would love to get more of Sandy Nelson.
I am very sexist and don’t have any music by females although I do have the best of The Mamas and Papas.
