    Hi forum,
I have a couple of things I need to sort out before I can buy to give me a beter chance of a loan. I have been actively looking for property but yet had the fun of purchasing one because of my situation. How long do you think we have to use startegies Steve has mentioned, before interest rates go up or boom is over?

Fixed rates are going up in the next week.

This tells us that the banks don’t believe that the official rate will be coming down in the short term.

No one can really predict whether and by how much the official rate will rise but certainly sentiment seems to be that they are heading up.

If you do want to fix cheaply then get an application in with a free rate lock asap. Even if just for a pre approval.

    Cheers,
