    Howdy Posters

Just joined the forum and am reading Steve’s book at the moment and looking forward to purchasing our first +ve cashflow property and are after as much information as possible.

    Background is
22 bought a unit in Sydney 2 years ago and am living in it My wife and I just purchased a -ve geared property using the equity in our current apartment.

Looking on the internet for areas to invest in I have found a few properties that meet the basic cost/rent guidelines and am now getting ready to contact agents abit more for areas. Am after any advice that may help find/research towns/districts of potential. Also I am a contractor in the IT industry and from past experience it has been hard to get finance while contracting can someone help or point me in the right direction? I have been employed in the same industry for over 3 years always steadily increasing my income and my wife works full time, any ideas??

    Thanks
    Ryan

PS Great Forum am looking forward to spending more time here.

    Snakey,

If you have been in the same industry for three years as a contractor then you shouldn’t have too much trouble on this account.

If you have a deposit or sufficient equity remaining and your icome is enough then it shouldn’t be too hard.
