    Hi,

I am thinking of using a buyers agent to source me property. He works on a no buy, no fee basis which is pretty good. Just wonder from others peoples experiences what is the going-rate for fees’s?

This chap is charging 5% of the 1st $18,000 and then 2.5% on the remaining balance. Done my sums, and well it turns out to be not a bad deal if he comes up with some good +ve properties.

Just wondering if these are like going rates? And if there is anything to look out for when using Buyer Agents?

    Cheers

    Rob

that rate quoted is the same as real estates charge commission in selling a property – it works out close to 3 % overall.

How rich and how busy are you that you are willing to pay 6 grand or more for a few hours work.

sorry to be so rough, but someone had to knock some sence into you.

I think it’s worth and satisfying doing the work yourself.

may be you guys are right but it’s not always few hour work. These agent some time come up with really good deal. Like recently there was a deal in NSW with 12% return and 11% below Valuation. How easy to find deals like that easily.

I am checking lot’s of other topic in last few weeks people writing they can’t find a single positive flow property then for these people these buyers agent are not bad.

    Cheers
