The short answer is no. We're not able to provide one-on-one opinions, information or advice on real estate, investing or money matters. Questions like this are almost always best asked on the PropertyInvesting.com forums anyway.

Where do I view, edit or change my details?

Whenever you login, the first page that greets you gives you a link straight to the page where you can edit your profile. If you're logged in, you can also click here.

The site is telling me that my e-mail address is already in the database. How can this be?

It may have happened when you previously ordered something online, or perhaps you double-clicked the "Submit" button when entering in your details. Either way, it sounds like you're already a member.

If you think you may already be a member but you've forgotten your details, then the quickest way to recover your details is to use the username/password login at the top of every page. Even if you don't remember your details, give that form ago, because if you get it wrong, the next page lets you enter your email address. If the address is valid, you'll be sent your username and password!

Occasionally, these will be caused by messages moving slowly through cyberspace, although if you don't receive anything at all, it's likely that the problem is caused by any of a number of factors;

Firstly, check to see that you are receiving e-mails to begin with. Generally, if you're receiving other e-mails, you should be receiving ours.

Some things to look out for if you're not receiving e-mails are;
- Check to make sure you're not over your mailbox quota/storage limit. Some e-mail services only provide a certain amount of space for e-mail storage. If you're close to the limit, people who send you e-mails may have difficulty getting them through, so delete some messages.
- Incorrect setup details. This will stop all incoming e-mails. Check that your e-mail setup details are correct.
If all that's fine, check to see whether you have a SPAM filter which may mistakenly be picking up the newsletter. If so, add newsletter@propertyinvesting.com to its allow list.

Note: Many free web-based e-mail services (such as Hotmail), and now even ISP's, have their own SPAM filtering software. If you're unsure, ask your e-mail provider.
Finally, check to make sure the details we have at PropertyInvesting.com are correct. You can view, edit and change your details at here.

If all this fails, please report the problem. Make sure you mention that you've followed the steps outlined above, and give us some detail about the problem - the more detail you give us, the better.

Where do I go to find a good investing-savvy accountant, solicitor or mortgage broker?

Ask on the forums to find out who other investors use.

How do I set up a reciprocal link with PropertyInvesting.com?

The first qualification is whether your site is relevant, and of some benefit to PropertyInvesting.com members.

Next, set up a link on your site to PropertyInvesting.com.

Finally, and only once this is done, let us know, and provide some information about your site.

Information which we're interested in includes:

the URL of your site,
a brief description which we can use on our site,
your Google PageRank or Alexa rating,
how many visitors you get per week, and
the page where the link to PropertyInvesting.com appears on your site.

How do I go about advertising on PropertyInvesting.com?

Many have asked, none have advertised. The general rule is we don't accept advertising on PropertyInvesting.com.

The exception to this is websites listed on our links page (see above), and Google Adwords (which appear on our search results page and on our forum topic pages. We carry whatever advertisements Google deems appropriate for our site, and we have no control of who those advertisers are (except that we can filter out direct competitors if we want to).

Who came up with the initial concept for this site?

PropertyInvesting.com began in the dark recesses of the minds of property entrepreneur Steve McKnight and marketing expert Don Campbell.

Now the original concept has been established, it's up to the community to decide the direction of the site.

Steve continues to write materials for this site and is an active forum member. Don is now concentrating on his niche, the Real Estate Investor's Network in Alberta, Canada.

Who are the designer and webmaster of this site?

The website back-end, design and layout were built by PropertyInvesting.com.

Why do I need to leave my details to get access to the free report and newsletter?

A lot of the information at this site is available to you without having to leave any of your details. However, we plan to e-mail out future editions of the Propety Investing.Com 'Insider' and accordingly we need to know your personal details and e-mail address where to send it to.

Also, membership to this site will not be free forever. By registering your details now you'll be assured of free lifetime membership.
